OH, LACE!

Last weekend on Saturday evening there was a really special event for me. As I told you I am studying Fashion Management at Akademie JAK in Hamburg. Right now I'm in my second semester and I can only speak good about my school. Last semester in my first one we made fashion objects out of different sometimes strange fabrics. The one I made is out of rubber blanket and organza tape, which I braided into very huge pieces and built a dress out of it. It was a really nice project, because the managers usually do more academic than creative stuff, but very much work. Finally our teachers were so thrilled about our finished objects, that they decided to let the best ones walk at the final fashion show of the last semesters of fashion design. It was such an honour for a first semester and I was happy to be one of the lucky designers, who's dress was choosen to be presented. On Saturday evening the fashion show finally took place in a huge church. It was a really special atmosphere and event, but a pity that it was over so fast. I chose this outfit out of two lace garments to wear this day and evening. It was perfect for this occasion as well some people looked at me a little to much during the day. But luckily I have no problem with this. The skirt is new from Mango and I think you can build so many gorgeous elegant Winter looks with it. The bag is also new from Zara and my loyal companion for the last days. It's kind of inspired by the Celine Boston bag, which I adore and would loved to own. Perfect alternative and perfect size to keep your most important things with you. The coat, the shoes and the top are quite old, but it's always nice to see that you can combine your older things with new ones.
